When you work hard to build your blog, it's personally rewarding to see that it's starting to grow and become more successful every-day. Just knowing that your hard work is finally paying off is a great feeling.
But as I am starting to discover, there are many other perks as well. Things like traffic, more money and backlinks. And as of yesterday there is one more perk that I can add to my list, FREE STUFF - Yes that right, free stuff.
I know that I have mentioned before that I have 2 main blogs, this one and the HCG Diet 411 blog. Well, my other blog has had much more success than i-Blogger, but it's also a few months older too.
The cool thing about this is... not only is it free stuff, but this company saw the HCG Diet 411 Blog, and thought that me mentioning their product in a blog post would make them more money than they would lose by giving me the product for free.
What does this tell you?
This says that...
- They are smart and probably right too.
- They can see from visiting my blog that my readers most likely trust the advice that I give them.
- They believe in their product and brand enough to think that I will like it and give it a good review.
There is a good lesson to be learned here. You should also believe in your brand just the same as they do. Whether it's a product you've created or just the advice that you give to your readers - you should be able to give it to people for free and know that they will love it enough to spread the word.
That is basically what you are doing when you're building a blog. You give your blog posts away for free because... you are trusting that others will like your content enough to link back to it and share it with others. This in turn, will bring you more traffic, more subscribers and ultimately make you more money.
So trust and believe in your brand and others will too.
