- Find yourself a free Page Rank Checker.
- Do a Google search for keywords that are on the same topic as your blog.
- Find the blogs that are in the Google search results.
- Enter the blog URL in the Page Rank Checker.
- Visit the blogs that have a Page Rank of 4 or higher. (10 is the highest PR)
- Leave a comment.
- Make sure that you enter in your blog's URL.
- Visit all of the blogs that you found and then do it again.
When you are leaving a comment on someones blog, make sure that you never and I mean never, write "Nice Blog Post" and nothing else. I'll tell you why, because who-ever owns that blog will know that you are just leaving a comment to get a backlink and they will DELETE IT.
If you follow these steps and keep repeating them over and over again, you will get a high Page Rank for your blog. Just remember that it takes Google a while to find the comments that you leave. So don't worry if it doesn't show that you have a backlink from that certain blog right away.

Wbat about looking for Wordpress blogs which have "commentluv" plugin activated? There are blogs using this Wordpress plugin and display your latest blog post, inside a particular blogs's comment that has "commentluv" activated.
Don't these links count for something? Especially if the blog home page has a high rank?

This is a good point that you bring up. I think that the "Comment Luv" Plugin is better for traffic than anything. I know that a lot of Wordpress blogs have the "No Follow" attribute set so it doesn't give you that link back to your blog.
But if the blog gets a lot of traffic it can possibly spill over to your blog, so your comment isn't a complete waste of time if you don't get a link from it.
