Using websites like Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook to promote your blog is a great tactic for getting traffic. Like I mentioned in yesterdays post, Get Blog Traffic Using Twitter, you may not see a flood of traffic pouring in right away, but as you become more popular on these types of social websites, your blog's visitors will increase dramatically.
Using Facebook is one of the easiest ways to get visitors to your blog, plus it takes hardly no effort on your part at all. To get some of this traffic to your blog, all you need to do is place your link on your Facebook page.
How To Add Your Link To Facebook
- Login to your Facebook account and go directly to your Home Page.
- Then, click where it says Links, located in the column on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Now, click on the Post A Link button.
- Next, type in your Blog's Title.
- After that, enter in your URL and click Attach.
- Last, choose a thumbnail and click on the Share button.
There should now be a link to your blog posted on your "Wall". I personally don't spend a lot of time on Facebook, but every once-in-a-while I will go and post something to my wall about my blog. Each time I do this it gives me a little extra surge of traffic.
